Mindful eating

What is mindful eating?

“Mindful eating is about using mindfulness to reach a state of full attention to your experiences, cravings, and physical cues when eating (8).” (“Mindful Eating 101 - A Beginner’s Guide”)

How to practice Mindful Eating

Eat when you’re hungry and choose different snacks throughout the day (a fruit, a bar, a salad: bottom line is to keep it balanced)

Eliminate distractions during meals like social media, TV, homework, or a book

It’s okay if you don’t do practice it every meal. Try it as often as you can.

Note when you are full.
