Check in
Self Compassion
Self compassion may be something some students struggle with. That’s completely understandable, considering the highly competitive environment we study and live in.
Today’s check in question (some things to ask yourself):
How would I like to feel today? And what can I do to try to get there?
This isn’t a question, but remember to congratulate yourself on making to a full week on this course! You did it!
If you would like to post your answers to today's question, use the button below to post to the Community Board!
Activities :)
Tell yourself something kind
Positive affirmation, or telling yourself something kind/uplifting, can help combat overwhelming negative emotions and thoughts. This can be writing down a sentence that makes you feel better about yourself or repeating it in your mind at times when you feel low. An example:
“I can support myself by making sure I eat breakfast today.”
This is a list of kind statements you can choose for yourself.
Take a productive break
Don’t burn yourself out by studying for hours on end! Give your mind a rest with this guide to a productive break.
